I'm sure in his warped shill mind it's apparently ok to purchase 3rd party publishers wholesale and remove their support from other platforms because hey then it's understandable right? They're 1st party at that point and you expect them to be exclusive. Nevermind the other platforms that are robbed of every future title. The only reason Xbox can't do that is because they're the most incompetent company to ever venture into gaming relative to their size and now have to go full multiplat.
Yep and if Xbox started aggressively pursuing 3rd party exclusives he would change his talking points immediately.

If he really cared about what hurts the industry he would have been against microsofts massive acquisitions that have been used to remove games from playstation that would have been there day one.

To add to that, Rebirth is exclusive for 3 months, anything MS buys could potentially never hit other consoles.
Looks like Xbox has now officially got rid of toys 4 bob & the remainder of them left after the layoffs are going independent

Apparently they're exploring a partnership between their new studio & Xbox (who just shut down their office & laid a bunch of them off
) , probably because Activision / Microsoft still own the Crash / Spyro / Skylanders IPs
The point of the acquisition was:
- Helping MS get closer to Sony and Tencent in the fight for becoming the top grossing gaming company
- To become more important in mobile
- Helping MS becoming the biggest 3rd party multiplatform publisher in console
- To get all the revenue and profit these companies do to help the finances of the MS Gaming division
- To secure content for Game Pass
- To add several classic IP (some of them dead/sleeping) and some currently relevant IPs to their list of owned IPs for marketing reasons
