With the game Sales Award, the game association of the German games industry honors top-selling computer and video games in Germany. The basis is the current sales figures from the Video Games Europe industry panel GSD (Game Sales Data). Titles of which more than 100,000, 200,000, 400,000 or 600,000 copies were sold across platforms in Germany in the first 12 months after publication can receive the game sales award in the gold, platinum, double platinum or multi-platinum categories. Right, I can only imagine. Now multiply all those other countries give or take by 200,000k (yes it goes without saying not every country will have same sales) and it sold a ton!

Probably saving it for their fiscal report in April to have some good news to go with th fact they missed their original hardware target.

Probably related to Nintendo and Publishers that doesn't give digital data.
When they don't have the data they have to extrapolate the digital.

Right now only few publishers (Take 2 for example) and Nintendo doesn't share digital.

This is a Sony first-party so they have all digital data and doesn't need extrapolation.

Not surprising that Helldivers 2 would get those numbers in Germany(compared to Spidey 2) due to the game coming on PC.

SIE PR is so frustrating, if they don't have some sort of record to set they wait until the financials to talk about it.
I know that coming those announcements there is best practices to woah investors with BIG NUMBERS GO UPPPPP at the appropriate time but it sucks having to guesstimate everything.
