What IP should PlayStation revive?

Personally, I'd love to see The Getaway come back with some innovations / updates on style, a great selection of music on the car radios and a fantastic story.

First would be a more memorable looking protagonist and a great voice actor.

Then some inspiration from The Hire and Transporter series,

I believe Resistance deserves a second chance.

But, Sony needs to put some effort on a western style RPG.

Love that game when i was younger, Would drive around and be like hey i know that place!
Also The spin off of Driver - Stuntman

Had loads of fun with that game for hours and hours just making my own stunt jumps

Definitely, I'd love to see them either buy a Larian or CDPR or to hire the people they need and make a studio from the ground up.

We definitely need some niches filled aout again after MSFT cut down our options.

Infamous, for sure. I would love remasters of the first two games since I really liked Cole and Zeke. I also wouldn't mind seeing a sequel to The Order. The story interested me and I want to see what happens next.

- Ape Escape: a new, PS5 only entry
- ICO: full remake like SotC
- The Last Guardian: PS5 update/upgrade
- MotorStorm: new entry, but with many tracks from the previous entries. Should be similar to Pacific Rift in gameplay.
- Everybody's Golf: new entry, with PSVR2 support

For these, I think Sony alone couldn't do much:

- Tombi/Tomba: HD remaster or at the very least classic versions with trophy support of both 1&2 would be amazing.
- Bloody Roar: new entry
- Dark Cloud: new entry
- Jade Cocoon: remake of the first game

Resistance had multiple second chances and blew all of them. Bring back Syphon Filter instead.

Edit: Also, not really an IP but Home never should have been discontinued, its basically what Facebook wanted the Metaverse to be but 15 years earlier. And hey, Sony has a VR headset now, why not really put the fear of God into Cuckerberg.

The Getaway, MAG and SOCOM have huge potential if made by competent developers.

The rights to Tomba are a nightmare, so it isn’t likely to get revived anytime soon. It’s owned by whoever owns the defunct entity that Whoopee Camp, the developers, were part-owned by, and it took literally half a decade to get things sorted to even do a digital release of those games.

Yeah I know, it's so sad I missed them when they were on PSN for PS3/PSVita (although I'm unsure if it was US only).

I think Resistance was a victim of the slow PS3 growth, Playstation fans who were not yet "accustomed" to FPS games at that time and Microsoft's media bias.
