All because of Gamepass right? What an idiot.

Even tho gamespass cannot, will not and won’t fucking ever sustain big budget game development and will lead to less revenue and studio shutdowns.

Genius stuff. Great way to thank your favorite studios… by putting them out of business.

Their favorite games is whatever is on Gamepass and their favorite studio all along is the next one MS will acquire. What is left of the Xbox core fan base at this point are just the most rabid types that don't value games.

What about the rest of the world?
O mean it's pretty obvious they are getting desperate. If the deal doesn't go through in the next few weeks they will have to pay billions to Activision.

Their complaints makes no sense even without Activision they have almost the double of the studios Sony has lol

This isn't about what makes sense or what is reasonable or fair. This is about what they WANT. Just like most of what goes on in the western world is about what US wants.

A lot of people are about to wake up.

Honestly I don't think is that deep.
Is pretty much making pressure to get the deal approved. this Japan business is a distraction. Its easy to blame Sony for the disastrous xbox performance in Japan. Than admit they really aren't good on making an appealing product.

My question is what is with Microsoft’s obsession that Sony sign the deal? They clearly have bribed/threatened the regulators that they need to get it done so who cares about Sony and what they do? Is there concern that if Sony doesn’t sign the deal they may reject cod being on their platform thus making this a giant bust for Microsoft because they kind of were counting on PlayStation revenue for a little while?

I don’t see how they put this genie back in the bottle. Microsoft is now using the us government to threaten Japan to “open up.” Either japan does and lets Microsoft do what they want in spite of their citizens or the fanbases of said companies, or calls Microsoft’s bluff, which I don’t even know what that would look like. I’m not even Japanese and I’m mad. I’m sure thisnt headline news but I’m sure Sony has a fan base over there that can see what’s happening.

LMAO!!!!!! The desperation MS goes trough to get what they want and try to hurt Sony.

I really hope they somehow leave the gaming industry. Fuck that company. I hate MS with a passion.
The only way they'll leave gaming is if their other businesses shrink.

If this gamepass adventure don't pan out they are packing. They can't overturn the decision now that their fanbase is used to not buy games.

I'll be there no matter what

Hoeg is kinda annoying but at least he's half right here....lol

You beat me to it, lol. Crazy that even Hoeg thinks this is a dumb argument.

MS may be applying pressure here to prevent Sony from being allowed to protect themselves by buying something like Square before they can finish devouring ABK and go on another shopping spree. They are basically trying to create a situation where they can buy anything they want and Sony isn't allowed to respond in any way for the sake of "fairness".

HAHAHAHAHA. LMFAO. This shit is just too funny.

Like I said months ago, Sony was going to end up overplaying their hand. They should have just accepted the 10 year deal and moved on. Instead, they're going to be getting investigated within Japan, will be stuck showing 4+ years of documents come August that will definitely expose a lot of their shitty practices and best of all, they may not even get COD at all. LMFAO!!!

What a great day.

And to think, Xbox One will end up being a blessing in disguise for Microsoft and Xbox. Oh man. Give me more acquisitions baby!! 😂

You're not a gamer, and the mask has definitely fallen.

Well japan can look at that trade agreement, look at MS recent mergers and say “well what about ms president biden, also i think the price for our semiconductor your military use for their drones in Yemen, syria and Ukrain are a lill bit on the cheap side how about we rise that price up a bit?”

Do they really think japan wont clap back for one of their biggest electronic/media companies?

MS is petty.

Saw this coming from a mile away.

No matter. This is just a warning shot for having the balls to dispute the ABK deal and not do as told. The Japanese have to be reminded of their place from time to time in the "rules based" order........ well all vassals get a refreshing reminder from time to time (look at Germany :)ROFLMAO::cry:). And well, if you're not a vassal then, depending on the size of your "threat" to #1 status you're a rival/enemy. It's the business of empire aka it's what it's.

Nothing will come out of this - it's just a bit of intimidation with a credible rap sheet to back it up. As long as the U.S is the biggest, most profitable gaming market there is, those foreign companies lavishly benefitting from market participation will "behave". All big business is political.
