ABK management will change once this deal confirmed dead. Basically, a new company.Another good thing is that they might actually have killed ABK by getting them stuck on this limbo for 2 years with a bunch of people on top that were just waiting to jump ship.
Imagine ABK trying to come to Sony now to negotiate a marketing deal for CoD.
It shouldn't, they didn't block the deal because of the console market.
Wouldn't the appeal if successful just result in the CMA having to start the process all over again? ABK doesn't have time for this.

It wouldn't hurt the appeal because the CMA doesn't have any issues with the console side of things. This is blocked based on cloud gaming.
They are... they took some deal from MSFT on the back of it and still hired their top lady....and changed rules to do it.

Yes ABK needs to put a roadmap for their business in 2024 and beyond. Thus, they cannot hold another year waiting for an CMA and Microsoft. This deal is dead. Microsoft/ABK will officially announce it dead in few days/weeks.

Next steps:
- Microsoft will fulfil their duty to their shareholders and appeal
- ABK will fulfil their duty to their shareholders and appeal
- Microsoft and ABK will meet on what hill they want to die on. From that, they will decide whether to drop the appeals or to move on
- They will then have to separately consult with their investors and vote on a new deal timeline. Investors have the final say
- If investors on both sides agree with a delay in the timeline, the deal will be lingering until a decision from an appeal is known
- If investors on either side disagree with a delay, whatever penalties are contractualised will be applied at the end of the extension period
Maybe they should announce on their "Xbox Games Showcase"
I just realized that they copied both "direct" and "showcase" for their events, what a lame company.
Can't wait for them to turn on each other.
