Just wondering. Either company could have picked a different day or delayed their game a week or two. I don't think that was a smart move as some gamers are strapped for cash and will have to choose one or the other. Often times even if you plan on getting a game shortly after ppl forget or just move on and don't.

I have money to easily buy both but I've decided to not get Dogma and buy Ronin instead. I don't have time to fully invest in both so it would be a waste.

Alot of gamers may want both but don't have the dispensible cash, many will have to choose. And two weeks makes a big difference paycheck to paycheck.

it didn't effect me, i got both. but majority of people has to choose.

of course, it is better to space out game releases for AAA games. but both are coming from japan and their Q is finishing and everyone wants to look good for their shareholders.

Dragon's Dogma 2 is selling more anyways for a ocuple reasons:
  • Very hyped game
  • Multiplatform
  • Already had a good game released prior.

It's mp it was going to sell more and has a better score.I think it'll sell gd though just not super good.

No, it wasn't smart. Sony is dumb, the game needs more polish anyway so they should've delayed it a few months.

Also for a JP centric game, that could've maybe done well in Japan, releasing the same day as a new 1st party Nintendo exclusive is also stupid.

I got both but I know I'm the extreme minority. Sony is looking at Xbox and speedrunning to irrelevancy everyday.

So many bad decisions lately it's baffling. It's like they are giving up on their platforms and they are letting down their partners Square and Tecmo. Even their employees at Nixxes working on flops one after the other.

Helldivers 2 will mask all the latest failures but it's clown show over there.

I dont know whos the running the show but I agree. They need to sharpen up. Just because Xbox sucks doesnt mean they can always get away with this stuff

Overall its not a smart choice.
They released FF7 and Hell Divers 2, recently and have Stellar Blade next month. There was no rush for this, just bad organisation.
They could of released this in the summer or later in the year.

Sometimes its good that people are overly critical.

Sony has nothing to release from April onwards. They are releasing 4 games in 4 months. They could of easily just left this for summer or 2nd half of the year.

criticism is good, but some are always angry, sad and confused no matter what and it gets really old. people also have the tendency to speak on things like they're an authority when they really don't know what they're talking about at all.

What did I say that's wrong?

Does the game need more polish? Yes.
Is competing with DD2 in NA/EU hard? Yes.
Is competing with a 1st party Nintendo exclusive in Japan hard? Yes.

They knew all of this and released it anyway, if it underperforms they did it to themselves

Yeah, I think it's time to dip out from here and just game. I've said my peace on things numerous times and continuing to push back is pointless. Some people just like being angry and like arguing for dumb reasons.
