not sure about best game on PS5 or from Bloodborne. God of War exist.. but for new IP, it was magical to play it.
IMO it 100% is. Not to take away from other great games that have released. Returnal is far and far away my favorite. As a fan of old school arcade games like super stardust.... this felt like revolution to that genre.
Returnal was kinda boring.
Couldn't get into it.
Hopefully Housemarque will return in making a space shooter arcade for once again.

Returnal is opposite of boring. it is highly engaging and very atmospheric. also, being rogue lite, it is also counter ''boringness''.
Sony didn't buy them to go backwards.
Returnal was a biggest studio success and they will double down on it.

Returnal only sold 500k copies. That's far from a big success.
They can make a Space Shooter again, with more budget.
If it's only a comic, then the shattered glass image is a perfect fit reflecting all our dreams regarding DLC/sequels etc.

they made plenty of similar games and didn't reach anything similar to Returnal. they are not going back, especially now, when they are owned by Playstation.
Returnal is 32th on PSN, it has 32M revenue. + physical.

Don't fall into the FUD like certain folks who still believe Rift Apart only sold 1 million copies on PS5 and lost money until it got the PC port (both of which are patently false).
I wouldn't be surprised if Returnal has hit at least 1 million by this point, and no matter how you look at it, the game's still Housemarque's biggest success commercially. It's also a new IP in a genre that isn't exactly mainstream. The game is successful.
They were on the coups of bankruptcy before Shu approved their pitch for Returnal. And no I will not provide any source as Google is free. They already said they didn't make much money from doing the kinda games you want them to go back to.
They already said they're doing a new IP after Returnal and best believe it will not be an arcade kinda game. They have said that genre is dead to them.
