I won't buy games for a shit ton of reasons. Any 2fa required, personal ID, double sign in or any other bullshit and I won't play the game.

Personally, I have principles when it comes to gaming and how I spend my time in general. If I don't agree with some bullshit, I'll play another game, and there are thousands on my backlog spanning decades.

I have a PS4 for GoT. Though not having to sign in for the single player is A OK

Agreed. I'm not a PS gamer but if I were, I would want the company from which I bought a console to focus on said console, not other markets, PC, or whatever.

But talking now as the real me who isn't a PS gamer: Sony simply, in my opinion, wants to make more money by selling in more than one place. I can't prove or deny whether that affects the quality of games being made as some people seem to think. but to them, it's just business.

Sonys most successful game is on mobile.

If money is what they want then Mobile is a perfect market to complement console.

No I won't. I will not give any company or corporation my phone number unless absolutely necessary. I certainly won't do it for gaming, emails, software etc.

Imagine believing handing over more data keeps you safe. Have hacks and data leaks stopped since 2fa was introduced to services? No.

Just don't buy Sony's games in the future and ask Steam for a refund. But that's not going to happen. Now, to further enrich your knowledge of Gaben. You cannot refund a game after two weeks and 2 hours of playtime. a PSN account requirement only now became real, months and hundreds of hours later for the average player. I hope you understand the situation better.

Also: "I won't change anything about my decision! In the future don't buy our games" Yeah, that's a wise business strategy.

2fa will absolutely make it harder for someone to hack you.

Many 2fa options don't even need a phone number. You can use passkey or an authenticator app.

It's almost like that didn't stop them from having a mediocre Showcase in 2023

Hell the "event" you're talking about hasn't even been officially confirmed. We may not even get it this year...

Besides if they have to hold back console-related announcements to upsell a PS5 Pro, maybe they should look into their production pipeline and ask why they don't have enough new 1P games, or substantial console-side QOL/feature improvements, to have semi-regular announcements throughout the year?

SIE mentioned multiple times that they also have plans to expand to mobile gaming too, and that have been making and that will make deals with important mobile gaming developers or small buotique devs to help them adapt their IPs to mobile gaming. They even created a dedicated subsidiary and bought Neon Koi. They are also working on bringing PS cloud gaming to mobile.

They have deals with companies like Tencent, Netease, Nexxon, Kadokawa+CyGames, Akatsuki+Koei Tecmo or MiHoyo.

After their big expansion to GaaS/MP and PC, they'll also have a big expansion to mobile.

Why do you act as if Spider-Man 2, TLOU Remaster, FFVII Rebirth, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Helldivers 2, Rise of the Ronin, MLB or Stellar Blade didn't exist? As I remember in the last month or so they said things about Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Destiny 2 The Final Shape and new Helldivers 2 content.
