At least they said so right away.
Well, Helldivers 2 mentioned it in all their trailers.
I don't think Sony should waste time with mobile games either.
Maybe have some small mobile dedicated studios making small budget games using existing franchises.
Currently they only have Neon Kai.
SIE mentioned multiple times that they also have plans to expand to mobile gaming too, and that have been making and that will make deals with important mobile gaming developers or small buotique devs to help them adapt their IPs to mobile gaming. They even created a dedicated subsidiary and bought Neon Koi. They are also working on bringing PS cloud gaming to mobile.
They have deals with companies like Tencent, Netease, Nexxon, Kadokawa+CyGames, Akatsuki+Koei Tecmo or MiHoyo.
After their big expansion to GaaS/MP and PC, they'll also have a big expansion to mobile.
This game would've done great on PC with Denuvo
It won't do great, even with Denuvo,
The game is already doing it great, apparently is the fastest selling Sony ever by far. It has 490K Steam user reviews, vs 114K in HZD or 129K in GoW 2018.
the last new single player game announcement was in 2021
All we've been hearing about the last few years is PC and gaas
As I remember the most recent new game announcement was Physint (ignoring MLB or Until Dawn remake).
maybe they should look into their production pipeline and ask why they don't have enough new 1P games,
Why do you act as if Spider-Man 2, TLOU Remaster, FFVII Rebirth, Granblue Fantasy Relink, Helldivers 2, Rise of the Ronin, MLB or Stellar Blade didn't exist? Or the upcoming Destiny 2 The Final Shape, Lost Soul Aside, Convallaria, Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn remake, Concord, Death Stranding 2, Wolverine, etc?
When's the last time a SIE studio actually said something about something they're working on for the PS5?
As I remember in the last month or so they said things about Stellar Blade, Rise of the Ronin, Destiny 2 The Final Shape and new Helldivers 2 content.
Plus outside PS, about the Ghost of Tsushima PC port.
