Wow steamlickers wasted no time prying the title of 'most toxic fanbase' from Xbot's cold, dead hands. What vermin. What filth.
Yeah, that was my impression as well. Like an emotional outburst over this. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I bet Sony goes back on this. His only human, probably under a lot of stress right now of course his going to make mistakes.
At least he took accountability for his actions, which is rare for a CEO to do
What happened was they pulled the game from sale from countries that couldn't meet the requirements rather than pull the requirements. Steam is fucked.Yeah, that was my impression as well. Like an emotional outburst over this. Let's see what happens tomorrow. I bet Sony goes back on this.
oh boy, they'll only harm themselfs with these moves, trust me, Sony is not the one company they'll easily trick and fool to revert a common industry practice/norm for multiplayer games on all platforms, i had to link a MS account to play Sea Of Thieves on my PS5, which is a closed platform, but they think they're entitled to not link a PSN account on an OPEN platform like PC... to play PlayStation game with other PlayStation players, terms of service need to be equal TO ALL players of the game, who do they think they are? These guys have lost their minds
Is it confirmed that Valve is refunding everybody, regardless of regions? It is so confusing because it's always the same 2 screenshots that gets posted. The terms of purchase were that you needed a PSN account. And unless Valve's policy says they can force you to accept refunds on your game for any reason at any time, they're not covered by whatever rules you've imagined.
Review Bombing and mass refunding for Ghost Of Tsushima is guaranteed at this point due to the requirement for LegendsYeah, there's no going back. Even if Sony fixes this, it's done. And their future games as well.
this is not a monetization issue, players are not being charged to create an account, the only valid concerns are for people living in areas outside of PSN avaliability, which are not even 5% of the players of the game, Sony won't backtrack this, they can't, cause if they do, every game they release on PC moving forward will be the same situation and they need to have control over the players of their own games, plain simpleSome of you being console only folk don't remember the great paid mods debacle on Skyrim a few years ago.
Bethesda was looking to monetize all mods and users started review bombing, they backtracked and BGS RPGS are still among the most popular on PC.
Users will be pissed for a while but then they will forget. In this case The convenience of not having to buy a box to play a game outweighs any kind of outrage.
Lots of games have review bombing. And then folks forget, remember how broken nier automata was on PC and how long it took them to fix it? Batman Arkham knight?
after this evidently and living proof situation we're witnessing they lost all of their rights to call out for console fanboys and to be on internet forum/websites trying to mock console users, they're literally the most toxic and childish community across all gaming and finally everyone in and outside gaming is seeing it nowPeople : Xbox and xbots most toxic community in gaming..
Steambots : hold my bear xbots..
On a completely separate note, but somewhat related, I wonder just how much PS consoles can slide into irrelevancy now. With Xbox's rapid decline in the console space and Nintendo's status as a hybrid, there really isn't much choice but to go with Sony going forward. If you want a console that can play all the latest games, PS is the best choice now (the only choice if Xbox ultimately exits the traditional console market). Of course, there's always the option to switch to PC but that is not desirable or feasible for many people. Could that be one of the reasons why optics are seemingly becoming less important to Sony?
It terms of the official response from Sony, what I meant was a response to all this backlash. I wonder if they didn't expect it at all or didn't see how severe it would become. It's costing them money now. Will they directly respond to it? If so, what will they say? That's what I'm waiting to hear.
I do hear you about the points you made regarding all the "bad little things" and agree with your stance that it's not a good look for Sony - now and in the future. On the other hand, though, I think the majority of PS gamers are looking for a reliable console/accessories, comfortable controller, and good games which Sony are delivering. That's the priority of, I would say, the majority of people who game on PS. Either way, along with you and everyone else here, I will be closely watching how Sony handles things.
The rumor comes from arthur gies
You have no idea how Steam works. Valve does not look into that, that is not their job. The notice of needing a PSN account is there and most people don't care about having to create an account unless you physically can't, or the requirements are absurd. Valve is not going to see that PSN set countries they don't support for sale, that's Sony's fault. No they will have been informed that the game required a PSN account to be linked since that's how it was supposed to launch
Microsoft account creation is available in every country but ones restricted by U.S. Law, you need a Microsoft account, not an Xbox account.& by the way the Xbox network is only available in 42 countries
Only if you're too ignorant or lacking of emphathy to understand the actual reason people are upset about this. (Maybe it has something to do with the delisting for 125 countries the game was sold in by Sony knowing they dont support them?)I don't want to blame anyone , it's a complete none issue but losers like you just want to hate on playstation
