PC gamers HATE Sony and PlayStation on an irrational level

Gotta love the insertion that if PS went day n date both PS & PC gamers can get wins by selling more.

When in reality PS gamers will migrate to PC, Steamdeck or Nintendo.

$500 PS console with 0 exclusive first party maybe Xbox games at later date

Or

$500 Steamdeck that plays PS & Xbox games day n date & PC games + Steams own exclusive lock to Steam + emulators + no online subscription + much cheaper sales & better performance

PS day n date will kill PS & they’ll never sell 100 million in the long term they won’t even sell 50 million in a generation if not lower since PS console will be obsolete & irrelevant.

The only reason people pick up console is cause of the low price & exclusive games. Nintendo who has little to no 3rd party support on switch sells 150+ million solely on Nintendo exclusive games also helps the price is $300

If you want to play RDR2 on PS5 you still have to do it at 30fps with no resolution bump, even very basic GPUs can run it at 60fps on PC. You have to deal with botched performance on game like Elden Ring and BG3 that you can play at locked 60 with an entry-level GPU on PC.

Sony is betting big on console players just being stupid and lazy, maybe they are right.

You can't do proper PC gaming on a steam deck. Specially with AAA. 9th gen AAA are hanging on for dear life on the deck. If it was a proper alternative to a gaming PC or a console it would have been more popular.

It's just a secondary platform for users already on the steam ecosystem.

PC has the same problem as traditional box console that are stationary (reason Valve made the Steamdeck which is a PC on the go pushing more mobile is because a PC that can be taken anywhere is better then a PC that can only be played at your home) so if hardware is going mobile PS putting games on PC benefits Valves own “console hardware” PS is putting games on a competitor platform if PS goes day n date on PC they might aswell go & release there games on Xbox, Nintendo & IPhones since going day n date would mean Sony doesn’t care about PS console hardware.

All of these hardware companies will push hybrid handheld as a portable hardware that allows you to play games anywhere is better then the stationary box like traditional console or traditional PC that can only be played at home.

The bulk of PC games aren't AAA or too demanding, the demanding games are the exception.

Plenty of PS4 games were never patched to take advantage of the PS5 hardware, so I wouldn't be surprise if there are many games where even the Steam Deck outperforms the PS5.

The PS5 is a great hardware but Sony never gave a shit about the "smaller details", like going back and patching games. Once they start to lose their differentiation from PC they should have at least bothered catching up to the stuff PC does much better.

PC is the platform that is always evolving, always closing the gap or surpassing consoles. Sony is digging their own grave completely unaware of what they are doing because they can only think in the short term.

As Nintendo Switch has shown it doesn’t matter if performance is downgraded a bit the ability to play anywhere > AAA games. In time with AI Nintendo hybrid handheld will play games like GTA6, COD etc with the fidelity you see on console or pc.

Switch 2 will be near PS4 if not a lil stronger & Switch 3 will be near PS5. The gap between each generation gets smaller & smaller. PS4 & PS5 games aren’t much of a difference & PS5 & PS6 games will be less of a difference

From Steam stats most PC gamers have mid to low PC

The perceived gap between the Switch 2 and PS5 will be a lot smaller than the perceived gap between the Switch and PS4. If they take advantage of DLSS the gap will be even smaller.

There is hardly a game in the market that look way ahead of something like TLoU Pt 2 or RDR2 and some of the best looking and most impressive PS5 games are crossgen.

Pc gamers through decades of steam discounts, keys shops, piracy and now gp, are not used to paying good money for good games. That’s it.

Well hopefully Xbox and GP continue on their way to demise, so the segment PS is currently in starts to heal from devaluation of games, unhealthy competition and unnecessary consolidation.

This is what I always say, most of them are just braindead Xbox fanboys that moved to PC. Real PC gamers couldn't care less about Sony or PlayStation or console gamers, or console gaming in general. They don't even know or care that any of this discourse exists.
