Market cap of 2.9 billion dollars. With premium you're looking at anywhere between 3.625 and 4.35 billion dollars less the percentage of stock they already own (the currently own 2% of Kadokawa, or about 58 million dollars worth).
I've called this as an obvious acquisition target, though not one without risks. It's them and CDPR are this point as really the only two major needle movers who aren't major publishers.
Kadokawa enhances their anime and manga business as well as delivering FromSoftware.
They already own a...
As far as the PR goes, Lego wanted to do Horizon. Which is believable since they already did the tallneck lego set.
Lego God of War makes zero sense. It's not a family friendly character or franchise. Lego Uncharted would have maybe made the most sense, but I don't think Horizon was far behind.
And what did I say about that. I said that it's way too early to come to conclusions, I refuted anecdotal evidence with anecdotal evidence.
I'm not saying the game is selling well or that it will sell well.
I don't have an opinion on Lego Horizon's sales, because there isn't enough data to form a legitimate opinion.
I'll certainly respond to FUD because by not doing so inspires people to believe the FUD is accurate.
Opening week? It was released 4 days ago. We don't have any sales data here for...
240 dollars a year and you still don't get the best games that come out for the year and still have to buy those separately...
If I was a kid there is no way my dad would have signed up for this. So this guy saying this would have been great when he was a kid is laughable"
I've amassed a...
When was the last time Nintendo made a successor console that was just a graphical upgrade over the existing one?
I think the last time you could say that would be the N64 to Gamecube, but even there they moved to optical discs.
Gamecube to Wii was motion control. Wii U was the tablet. DS to...
Your post on Lego Horizon sales was not objective at all.
It was selective. Selection bias is not an objective practice.
You focused on Steam sales (and didn't use sales metrics, but rather ccu metrics, even though sales metrics would have accomplished the same result), but you left out...
I was pretty excited for the Switch 2, but I passed on the DS for a reason... It's a really dumb concept. 99% of the time I'd be playing docked, so wouldn't really matter, but I don't see the value in paying for a second screen.
If this is true, I think this will be a massive mistake for...
Beats me man. It certainly isn't news. It's not even an early report. It was just speculation based on a single version of the game on a single platform...
The fact that its sales are rising on PS Store makes this thread look absolutely embarrassing. I've seen the game advertised heavily on...
The argument was initially about games developed internally at Sony studios but now it's about whether Sony owns the IP or not.
The argument was that Sony never really focused on internal development much in the ps1 and ps2 days and even the games they were published were coming from studios...
This site isn't going to grow with the constant hysterical dooming. That's just a reality.
Whether it's PlayStation fans or otherwise, you're not going to attract people to come here with the quality of posts from a lot of these guys.
More importantly it's now ranked 9th in games that cost more than 40 dollars and clearly climbing. It's outperforming Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D.
It's also climbing on the Amazon best selling PS5 games chart. Seems like a slow starting because of a lack of pre-release marketing.
The Switch never even got GTA5 yet we're to believe that the Switch 2 is going to be prioritized over the PC?
He says things, doesn't think them through, convinces himself that he is right and anyone putting facts out otherwise is somehow laughable?
Would I be surprised if the Switch 2 gets...
Sony bought Nixxes and Bluepoint after seeing their technical merits. They bought housemarque after they made Returnal. Returnal wasn't a major hit.
People will complain about Sony buying studios that are literally start ups but they'll also complain about Sony doing minor projects to evaluate...
That's kind of the MO for people on this forum.
Someone spits facts that don't mesh with a previous statement and rather than try to refute those facts, they throw a laughing emoji because they think that somehow refutes the post.
Everything he said was factual and not in dispute. So what's...
First we said first party games, so your list by your own definition by citing and quoting a community manager from insomniac as if they have the final say here, you're still wrong.
And by your definition the Spider-Man games wouldn't be first party since Sony doesn't own the IP.
You're all...
