Id say the PS brand has taken some hits this gen with the fanbase and some of the games. Some lows for sure But there profits and revenue is probably still top and plenty of successes. Alot of the dooming is overboard but some is warranted for future worry -

Capcom wont sell. Kadokawa wont sell to MS either. And I dont think Square can either. I think Sega will be too big for Japan to allow it, but its the most possible out of the big ones. Level 5 and Arc are small enough though for Japan not to care Nothing is in the realm of not possible though -

I think there is 1-1.5 million difference from what I remember between PS4/PS5 in Japan. I think if they get a price cut next year along with GTA6/Ghost of Yotei and some other games, when Switch 2 is selling hot they could beat PS4 Japan sales and be closer to PS3 sales.
