Yeah how many people are playing a game is pointless. How long are they playing and are they buying anything from the game that shows they’re really interested besides just trying it out for a little bit? Games can be rented and borrowed still.
Unit sales will always be king.
Engagement is such a dumb metric.
Of course NPD MS shill Matt Piscatella would come up with it to make certain games and companies look they’re doing better than they really are.
Because you guys are always in PlayStation threads making up bullshit. It’s like you all have some type of fetish with Sony.
So just buy the console already then.
You see, Sony, you don’t need to put games on Nintendo to bring in the younger audience to your console.
You just need exclusive games curated towards them. It’s that simple you fools.
Goldman Sachs will definitely be asking questions again at the next investor shareholders meeting about porting games to other platforms instead of bringing consumers to PS5.
I don’t even get that surprised anymore at the stupid shit Sony does this days. They obviously don’t care about exclusives anymore.
I bet Spider-Man and Wolverine will go to Xbox eventually too.
Yes. Making a game for one console makes development easier and increases quality and polish significantly

Multi platform doesn’t automatically translate to more sales. If that was true, exclusives games like Sony first party wouldn’t sell more than a lot of games that are on every platform.
There’s plenty multiplatform flops.
Exclusives actually help the developer with less money spent and more...
The last thing anybody has to worry about is the built in SSD failing. It’s made to last.
It’s custom. You can’t compare to commercial SSD write longevity.
You seem to be confused.
One console a generation. What’s so difficult to grasp? That’s how the videogame market has worked.
You mean the majority. Pro consoles didn’t sell that much last generation and this generation only Sony is making one that will sell even less.
Graphics do not sell...
What price? It doesn’t have to be expensive. PS5 is a powerful console.
It started at $399. Next generation the graphics baseline will go up again naturally and consoles will be priced at mass market price points.
One powerful console doesn’t mean having to price it at $1000.
I’m talking about building something that can last the whole generation. Kind of like it’s been done up until now. This is not a new concept.
Nothing warrants a pro machine at all. Graphics are not the top selling feature of a...
I didn’t care for PS4 pro either but it at least made a little marketing sense. 4K TV’s and HDR were new around that time so why not market a 4K HDR console. Even the PS4 was updated to support HDR which everybody was surprised about.
Videogame industry is unique in that consoles don’t have to...
Maybe discussing it not developing it.
I hope this is the last generation of pro consoles. Just make a powerful console at launch and be done until next generation.
