Next gen will launch at $549 and/or $599. $100 more, we won't see consoles decline on price like it did for PS4 for a LONG time.

Also disk drive will not be included.

Done until when? You're ignoring how technology has changed and that there are diminishing returns on silicon.

Games take longer to develop now than ever.

You seem to be confused.

One console a generation. What’s so difficult to grasp? That’s how the videogame market has worked.

Maybe for you they are. You have an option. Just don't buy a mid gen console.

You mean the majority. Pro consoles didn’t sell that much last generation and this generation only Sony is making one that will sell even less.

Graphics do not sell consoles.

It is when the same games are on PC as they are console which was a natural evolution of consoles going x86.

I don’t get this point and it doesn’t change mine.

You can’t say the reason for a PS5 pro is to keep up with PC when you can play the same Sony games on PC right in higher resolutions and frame rate.

The idea that Sony is doing this to compete with PC and keep people on PS5 is moot now.

That’s what the PS4 pro was aiming to do. As Andrew House said

I saw some data that really influenced me. It suggested that there's a dip mid-console lifecycle where the players who want the very best graphical experience will start to migrate to PC, because that's obviously where it's to be had. We wanted to keep those people within our ecosystem by giving them the very best and very highest [performance quality]. So the net result of those thoughts was PlayStation 4 Pro - and, by and large, a graphical approach to game improvement.

That’s back when Sony still cared about exclusives and knew how important they are. Can’t do that anymore with PS5 when all your games can look better on PC already. That’s Sony’s stupid decision for supporting PC in the first place.

Your baseless opinions you mean right?

My opinion is rooted in facts about the industry. Unlike yours and other people on here who make up things to put Sony in a untouchable good light with no issues to face.

Maybe stop using chatgp.

now, it is just a question, did we reach the limit of graphical fidelity or devs just don't give a fuck and use the power with 0 optimization?

because looking at a lot of games, they aren't that 10TF good looking and plague with different kind of problems.
by the look of it. more power, didn't end up materializing into something way better, it is just more of the same from PS4 for the most part.

very few games really justify that 10TF.
at least, PRO will offer 60fps in PS5 fidelity mode who are interested in FPS, which is pretty nice, bigger SSD and faster USBs.
That Dragon Age running at 1080p 30 fps. Not sure what the fuck is happening

Of course we knew this..everyone was already anticipating a PS5 Pro before the console was even launched lol..either way this the first major PlayStation hardware I will actively not support
This is news to me actually, I didn't think they started r&d on Pro until well after base PS5 shipped.

So much talk about performance when there little PS can do that will truly innovate on graphics for consoles.

PS focus needs to be on turning all or majority of there studios multi team to produce more games including both AAA & AA from PS major franchise. Also license out ip to further increase output. Literally just copy what Nintendo is doing & you will succeed. The fact we only get a new Ratchet & Clank game every 5+ years instead of it being annualized like Sonic or Mario where the gameplay/sandbox of Ratchet & Clank makes it easy to annualized is a lack of vision & poor leadership
