If Shadow of Erdtree was a standalone expansion like Miles Morales nobody should complain about it being listed as GOTY.
If Miles Morales had enough quality to be listed as GOTY, why not?
Nobody is fighting against SotE qualities.... it just that it is not a game but a DLC.
Except you can play Ragnarok without ever touching the 2018 game.
It is the key and biggest issues with DLCs.
It it was like Miles Morales... the so called standalone DLC nobody should complain about it.
But Elden Ring DLC is still Elden Ring DLC.
Size, scope, length, quality... never mattered.

Imagine every year a GOTY show with Fortnite, CoD: Warzone, Destiny 3, etc.
