Well duh. Xbox is looking to go all digital. This source could also be bunk.
Places like Walmart were dropping Xbox physical games and upcoming games like Hellblade 2 don't have a physical release. I think this is more of an Xbox dropping physical media support thing than everyone dropping physical media.

God, I feel like an idiot for supporting Xbox for so long.
I still defend the Xbox from the OG and 360 (till kinect) days. It was true different blood running though the offices. What a fascinating time to play so many great games that came out under that leadership.
It all went downhill with XB1.
It's OK just learn from your mistakes. The writing was on the wall for a long time.
It sucks cause I have a decent collection of Xbox games but I don't really wanna be a part of the ecosystem anymore.
I mean I still enjoy playing on an Xbox. I'm just going full PS and Switch going forward.
Also backwards compatibility is amazing lol
