I could see it as being a bit mechanically challenging with a controller, vs a keyboard for obvious hotkey reasons.

Last RA I played was back on PS1. Played a few strategy games on PS3 but mostly play them on PC.

I use to be the same with games like Civilisation and sim games, but sometimes the studio does a great job of the controller. It feels quite relaxing

It is not hard to play with a controller... at least I played just fine Warcraft 2 on PS2.
But the experience with M&KB was so much better.
I know these games on console have M&KB support too but my consoles are always in living rooms... so it is really hard to use M%KB.

But tbh last few sim and strategy I played on console was decent. Im not super hardcore so might not need. Will see

The only one I ever enjoyed was XCOM: Enemy Unknown, I dunno if that's classified as a strategy game? But it was enjoyable lol.

Although this game runs on anything, not sure if there is a sub set of gamers that would like to play this game but they do not have s computer fast enough to run it.

I think the Xbox 1 and Series versions have controller implementation. Maybe they already carried it over?
