TL : DR?
Looks a bit disappointing seeing those settings on Ps5

Good lord this guy gets more pathetic by the day
He is happy to do it in inferior version rather than on RTX 3080Ti
Love for a brand can make you blind, especially among xbots.Good lord this guy gets more pathetic by the day
When you see what 1st party studios can do or talented developers like Rockstar or Capcom, the problem is not the PS5 but the limited capabilities of third party devs.We need that ps5 pro
Yes, I don't agree with this notion of needing new hardware, the problem is dev cycles are longer and devs haven't been acclimated properly to the new hardware. Stronger hardware just brute forcing shit but thts not the answer. By the time devs even get comfortable with the new hardware it's the end of the gen cycle. These 3d games are becoming more complex especially wth the open world focus. When you see what 1st party studios can do or talented developers like Rockstar or Capcom, the problem is not the PS5 but the limited capabilities of third party devs.

Exactly, when the 1080ti came out, it was touted as a 4k gpu, then 2080ti came out and it was supposed to be "4k WITH RAYTRACING!!!", and then the 3080 came out and was 30%-50% more powerful as the 2080ti and was the "TRUE 4K CARD". Now 3 years later and the 3080 is barely a 1440p card.... the issue isn't hardware, it's developers relying too much on upscaling and not actually optimizing their games. The problem is that the PS5 Pro won't change anything, apart from the 1st party and rockstar few developers will exploit it correctly, the others they have already difficulty with the vanilla PS5, so the Pro I don't know if that's really a solution.
As for the PS4 gen it was understandable but here I don't see the use.
Couldn't have said it better "not optimizing" because they are in a rush because publishers are rushing them to release and the other piece they aren't familiar enough with the hardware yet. Bro Lords of the Fallen on consoles is a travesty. At least first party devs have the added time, the ins and outs of the hardware so we usually get solid experiences with great graphics.Exactly, when the 1080ti came out, it was touted as a 4k gpu, then 2080ti came out and it was supposed to be "4k WITH RAYTRACING!!!", and then the 3080 came out and was 30%-50% more powerful as the 2080ti and was the "TRUE 4K CARD". I had the 1080ti when it came out and I could actually play AAA games at NATIVE 4K max settings 60fps... games like Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight which still look just as good if not better than many of the 2023 releases that can barely do 1440p high settings with a 3080 and DLSS Quality.
3rd-party devs are already bleeding to develop to 3 different console platforms plus PC.elaborate
