Any Expert Console Repair People Here

Hi everyone,

Tried fixing a Gamecube controller with a faulty left stick which doesn't move horizontally.

Was told I need to change the Stickbox which I have done with a new one.

I am still getting the same issues.

No horizontal movement.

Rest of board looks fine and I have cleaned it too.

Any ideas?

I bet your GameCube is good though... my Bro dropped an old big TV set on my Gamecube years ago and it didnt even have a scratch, thing was indestructible.

Yep most Nintendo consoles were until the Wii arrived.

My Snes and N64 are still kicking too.

I am still getting the same issues.

No horizontal movement.

Probably a broken trace or dry solder joint between the stick and the controller chip. Get a multimeter on those traces and see if there's an open circuit.
