No mention of Xbox is legitimately brutal. They should start counting returns as negative sales and see whether the installed base goes up or down over time.

How would he have sub numbers via NPD? Or is he talking about some non GP sub?
Good question, I assume MS and Sony share the numbers with him for him to make such a strong statement.
I feel like that cant be right. Not even the other publishers seem to know the numbers. MS doesn't tell anyone that stuff.
They could be using top-up cards sold at retail as a proxy to estimate purchasing trends. A lot of people buy xbox live gold/PS+/gamepass cards at the store for their kids.
Didn't Phil say that he felt subs for gamepass would never amount for more than 10-15% of the xbox revenue, he does not see GP on console growing much at all.
I don't think Sony are reporting much growth at that level either.
So saying that the growth for these services is slowing down is only logical from there, but he may have insider information.
