So Ubisoft just decided to forget about Japan altogether? Terrible.

Seems like it, but it makes sense - Suckerpunch got ahead. It wouldn't make sense to go there just now, they can explore other places before. Baghdad seems like an excellent place if they want a more intimist approach, something like Assassin's Creed 2. Which I think they should.
