Remember during the launch last year when people were making up so many excuses for how mediocre the game is?
  • The game gets good after 15-20 hours, so you can't judge it unless you've played that much
  • The game runs poorly because the engine allows you to collect hundreds of sandwiches
  • The procedural generated planets are empty and boring because of "realism"
  • The art design and color scheme are dull because of "Space Punk"

What were the excuses for the laughably terrible random NPC designs and designs in general? Or was that treated as one of those things you aren't allowed to notice or comment on?
