My hopes of snatching a Pro AE are virtually zero; I can’t compete with scalpers and their bots.

I have good hopes here. Scalpers activity in our market is pretty low. Many hard-to-find consoles and special editions are usually moderately easy to get here. Most PS gamers here are FIFA (FC) players and the generic fortnite/COD etc.
