Blizzard is on fire with Overwatch Classic Reveal

Sadly to see how bad the things are going with Overwatch 2 that they had to resource to hype original Overwatch.
BTW it is a 3 weeks limited event just to try to gather players back to OW2.

It will amaze me how activision & blizzard fumble a gaming ip that could’ve competed & or exceeded if not replace marvel/dc in cross media.

With characters/heroes that are rich in personality yet to see a movie, tv show or a anime 7+ years since the release the incompetent levels is so insane there hasn’t been a documentary/fiasco level page written how thing went so wrong in depth

I won't comment about the game itself... because for me it is more of Overwatch with some new bad mechanics.,, that doesn't make it a bad game... it just make it a bit inferior to original... plus there are things that are better in Overwatch 2.

But Overwatch 2's F2P monetization model is atrocious.
I think the failure is more related to that than the game itself.
And I'm not saying it should be a paid game... I'm saying they model to monetize is utter ridiculous bad even for F2P's standards.
It is worst than some F2P's gatcha mobile games

I'm pretty sure Overwatch 2 has been doing quite well in terms of player numbers the past year. It's been gaining traction on Steam and always ranks high on console.

The Overwatch 2 is dead / struggling narrative stinks of fake news.
