A free operating system is better than what microshit releases.
Technically your PS4 and PS5 are also using free software (freebsd).
believe me the paid software is often worse than free ones. paid software has a financial incentive to make things worse so you upgrade to "pro" or higher grade licenses.
For as much as I hate most of what Sony is doing when it comes to PC, nothing beats a game being delivered to your door, sitting on your comfortable couch and just enjoying your game on a big screen.
When you are done with the game you can even sell it and get a good chunk of your money back if you are not a collector.
