The key to success for the console business has never been high performance expensive hardware. Less focus on performance (especially now that pssr & ai up scaling existing) focus on making a minimum $400 base price console & $300 models w less storage & no disc drive. There should be a disc less ps5 with 125 gb for $325-$350 permanent pricing maybe even consider taking away the controller & making it where those people who already have a controller or wants to buy a controller from 3rd party can do so further decreasing the price of the console to as low as $300. Really $300 is the golden spot $400 is fine if you have many exclusive like Nintendo & at $500+ you need to release a minimum of 5-7 first party PS games high rated & differ in genres/types to cater a wider audience anything pushing $600 is death & really decreasing & making your hardware/storefront niche.
Less focus on performance & more focus on software/experiences
