Big plans, 1000+ employees. Do these guys have the funding for all of that?
They sold like 20M Cyberpunk, they have Gwent games, they have GoG and marchendise. Witcher 3 and C77 DLC will sell millions. How they wouldn't have funding?

Wait a minute!!! isn't this the same studio that said they are not announcing their projects early to avoid the same buggy mistake of Cyberpunk? 🤣 why are they announcing 10 projects within 2 years?

They’re building a brand new team in Boston for this Cyberpunk sequel…. That’s not encouraging. Sorry.

I don’t see most of this working out the way they’re planning.

Consider millions of copies where returned to the tune of 3 million plus, now also consider most of the copies sold where also below full price, $5, $10, $15 etc.

So I believe the increase of staff is likely an investment from stockholders and they seek to make a return on that with some future title or DLC or something. But with all due respect, they should have known that was the team size needed for open world titles like CP2077 in the first place.

I've been saying this shit since this game first flopped, that you can't try to beat GTA or even Watchdogs with a fraction of the team and then act shocked at returns, bad reviews, backlash etc.

So good on them for increasing the staff, if they learn their lesson, maybe we can get a complete functional game next time.

@Vertigo maybe they feel its so broken and has so many missing elements, might as well hand it over to another team to take a crack at it. I mean, it can't really get any worse then a game literally launching with no AI.

Only way I see it launch with missing features again is if the publisher once again thinks they can make a AAA game cutting corners and renting only half the team needed to make a title.

Kinda late to the party, but with the CP Edgerunner Anime they just hit the jackpot. That Anime was so incredibly well done that basically it revived CP77. You can bet your ass that they'll rack tons of money from the upcoming DLC.

Agreed. And im expecting the expansion to be The Witcher 3's Hearts of Stone or Blood and Wine level of quality so yeah, they'll definitely get another boost when Phantom Liberty releases.
