Control has sold More than three million copies. Revenue has also exceeded ninety million euros. A success? Or has it underperformed?

That is across all ports? It seems rater low even compared with Alan Wake :(
Probably the best seller platform/port reached 1 million?

Alan Wake sold 4.5m in 2015 and Remedy said it underperformed.

90 million euros means most units were sold at bargain prices… average 30 euros per unit.

Yeah but depends on the budget whether it was successful or not. Funny enough on forums if a PS exclusive doesnt sell 10 million it isn't a success lol. I think for most games nowadays 5 mil or better makes it really successful (generally) then again it depends on the budget expense that was used to create the game and whether or not it made good profit.

One of the most boring games I think have ever played. Sterile world with a boring plot, only good thing in the game was the way combat felt with some abilities.
The rest of it felt like a glorified tech demo.

Put it in my top 5 big-budget overrated games I think I have played.

Dragon age 3
Bioshock 3
Ni no Kuni 2
Uncharted 4

Dragon age inquisition was so boring I never finished it. BOTW almost did that to me too but because it was Zelda I forced myself.

I know it was "successful" but these numbers are painfully low.

I got it from PS+ when they made the next-gen upgrade on PS5 and I loved it. Even more than Alan Wake.

I have it on all platforms because they keep giving it away. Last week I got it again on Indie humble heroine pack.

They’re giving away games with heroin now?

What a time to be alive!

They actually did themselves a slight disservice with the aesthetics because I passed on this game due to the boring looking brutalist architecture and it just didn't do a lot to look thrilling in previews, only gave it a shot once it was a freebie.

In practice though the bureau is an extremely interesting setting and they do really cool stuff story wise, I never, NEVER read collectible documents in games, but I read every single one in Control.
