While I agree that dating apps are like a bloody meat market, most of the stuff in that article is completely fucking bonkers.
"Men need to fail in order to grow" is the one that stuck the most. It's one of those sentences that's so empty and devoid of nuance that feels right at home with something like "men need to go to the military to learn discipline".
Not everyone is the same. Some people have social anxiety. Some people dislike crowds or the usual "hookup places". Some people simply don't have courage to engage first in a conversation.
And all of the above is ok.
I say all of this as someone that has met the current dating partner in one of those apps, which I had never used before, and found someone absolutely amazing.
