Even in beta form though, it's clear that Rivals is a surprisingly ambitious take on the hero shooter, from its destruction physics and Lumen lighting to its translation of iconic character moves into actual in-game mechanics - though it remains to be seen how tightly tuned it'll be for competitive play. If the developers are able to fix the performance issues, we could be on to a genuinely compelling Marvel spin on blueprint laid out by Overwatch years ago.

Yeah the game is quite heavy on PC and you'll got to scale things down if you're not using a juggernaut so it makes sense that Series S is struggling and has to have very strong compromises.

In general though, the game looks fine on consoles besides traversal stutter(streaming issue/network issue?) and the annoying shader compilation issues on PC. Hopefully these things can be ironed out.

I have more faith in those issues being fixed than some open world project though.
Map size is small which is easier to add more shaders to the compilation list and traversal issues can be fixed more easily on an individual basis.

As for the last comment about no release date. This is quite common with Chinese publishers.
They'll run as many tests/betas as they feel they need until they have a product worth releasing.
This is a very mobile approach where some titles can have multiple closed beta tests and even multiple regionally locked releaeses in certain countries before the full global release.
