Hey all,
So we have had about a week now since early access and would like to see how everyone is progressing with their character.
High or low level, please feel free to share your thoughts on how the game has been for you, perhaps giving it a score rating out of ten.
My impressions are this, the game has been fun and has an extremely good base/foundation to it. It still needs a tonne of work as alot of the game systems, especially towards the end of the game seem half-baked or a work in progress.
One thing I know that Blizzard is extremely good at, is systems refinement, as it stands. diablo for me is a solid 8/10 and will improve tremendously over the next few months.
Here is my ultra Sexy, more meat-on-the-bone female druid, something that @Gamernyc78 would 100% hit on a town night out.
My Positives have been,
-Stunning art, beautiful world design, and attention to detail within homesteads, villages, and towns.
-Great side quest design, love doing them,
-Great feel of combat,
-The cutscene before you fight Lilith, is possibly the best-cut scene I have ever seen.
My negatives are
-Boss fights have been underwhelming, too many of the same boss types at the end of dungeons make them feel very placeholder to me.
-Rubber banding when joining world events, especially when riding into new zones.
-Experience leveling, it's too slow, I have just managed to get to level 61 and it feels like a total grind at this stage, leveling from one to 50 was fun and rewarding, but now the bar is hardly moving.
-The mount, can we just press the button once to sprint and not have to repeatably press it every couple of seconds to dash? Also, can we please have a system like in The Witcher 3 where you can make your mount travel via the road to its destination with a simple button press, allowing you to sit back and enjoy the ride?
-Why am I always struggling to see if a world boss is up or not, needs a massive icon with a game alert that flashes in big red, World Boss available, free loot this way.
-Lilith Statues, perhaps add a map system from the occultist where you pay 20 obols, and it gives you the destination to an undiscovered Lilith shrine, having to go online and look at a map and then having to ride around to discover them all seems stupid to me.
The bad
-Inventory space, we need a lot more of it and we need it now, it's a totally half-baked system that seems to be created with the very basic of functions in place. I mean no separate Gem stash on launch, come on, this is not good enough.
- Nightmare Sigil dungeons are so tedious in having to transverse too, Why not press on said sigil and instantly be teleported to the start of the dungeon to start your run, I recall World of Warcraft having a dungeon finder system in place like that I believe.
-Crashes, partied up with a friend to do two nightmare dungeons, the first dungeon separated us and we could not play together, the second one failed to register objectives no matter what we tried we had to abandon it. Half baked and needs some serious love.
-The enchantment system, needs some major improvement, feels so clunky on the controller, the costs are also ridiculously high to reroll an affix with hundreds of thousands of gold needed, also the affix list needs to be expanded, there are so many affixes in the game and adding only 2 to choose from seems stingy.
Overall I am very satisfied with the state of the game, it feels very solid but needs a lot of refinement, I can only imagine what this game will look like in a year's time with dozens of patches and hotfixes, plus where is my Amazon class Blizzard fs.
Feel free to add your thoughts
And for those not playing Diablo 4
