Focusing on Hi-Fi Rush today, something unusual caught our eye. For the most part, PS5 gets a carbon copy of the existing Series X game, as it should be. They sport matching textures, anisotropic filtering, and world detail. However, the shadow quality on PS5 is improved compared to the original Xbox Series X version. It's not a one-off case; it applies across all of the game's dynamic shadows encompassing environments and characters

Hi-Fi Rush has arrived on PlayStation 5 and it's an excellent port of the original Xbox Series X and PC games... with slightly improved shadows. Tom Morgan reminds us of how great this game is, and examines Xbox's multi-platform record so far. From Ghostwire: Tokyo's Xbox issues to Pentiment receiving 120Hz support on PS5 first, surely Microsoft's flagship console should automatically be the best place to play its games and the first platform to receive new features? Great games get a wider audience now and that's a great thing - but Xbox needs to dot all the Is and cross all the Ts a little more carefully.

Performance Summary:
-PS5 uses a higher resolution shadow quality.

DF does not like the PS5 winning, listening to the video was so cringe, they really upset PS5 version is not only better then the Xbox version but also has better shadows then PC. What they dont realize is PlayStation has a better development environment and sdks then Microsoft and that is why every game Microsoft ports to PS5 runs better with no effort. PS5 Pro is refining PlayStation's development environment even further.

LOL I remember with Xbox One versus PC they would come with the "but if your friends play on Xbox" to try to mitigate the ass whooping. They won't change

They are going to compare PS5 to the 4090 whenever possible.

They never compared the PS5 DE to the Series S despite the price being really close.

It was a bloodbath with Xbox One and PS4. They just went around things and made up crazy new metrics lol

It's funny that despite how obvious it was all along that DF was compromised and completely biased you were called a conspiracy theorist for pointing it out.

Their entire business always depended on console wars and required Xbox to survive and now they simply can't let it go. Why can't they move on from Xbox?

This year Xbox has am impressive looking line up?
