Seeing lots of knockback about what midrange constitutes….

If 4000 is current Gen with 4050, 4060, 4070, 4080, 4090 then 4070 range falls squarely in the mid. What am I missing?

It’s more the price.

It’s a 600 Pound/Dollar card costing more than a PS5.

Mid range cards cost around 250-300 over the last 2 decades.

Because that lineup is not complete. You would typically have a 50ti/60ti/80ti. The 60/60ti would be the mid range products. The thing is, NVIDIA and AMD have been pushing this narrative that prior series cards and used market cards are the new low end/mid range.

Basically they do not serve that market anymore, the user has to create it. And this is where ebay/Amazon and AliExpress have their place, with cards like the RX 580 2048SP or god forbid, the pathetic GTX 1650 that reigned over the steam HW survey.

Also because of price: 600 USD is not mid range no matter what the guy in black jackets and his network of you tubers/shills would like to think. At most,a mid range card is 350 USD.

The fact a much more expensive pc can perform better is absolutely no secret.

I still play on consoles because of the game selection and convenience/value.

Before i could buy high end card for 600$, now, it is suddenly mid range. These guys brainwashing people. Sellouts with Zero morals and integrity.

Yeah I get thrown off with all the settings and tinkering I feel I'm going to have to do with a PC. FYI I'm not a very patient person so it'll probably annoy me.
