I doubt I'll buy it. I'll probably just get it off my friends PS5 but either way I hope it reviews good enough for them.

At 43s, did they forget to enable shadows?

Regardless, this still isn't looking great..

Critique of the trailer is... Probably should've included a few scenes that aren't at night/dark/rainy environment for some variety.

I will always laugh at the difference in tone between the first trailer(companion reveals) and all subsequent material.

At 43s, did they forget to enable shadows?

Game confirmed has no shadows.
But yeah, there's almost always that one part of a trailer where you know the settings for the capture ain't right.

Gonna be fun to watch the wars between Bioware bros and Atlus bros over GOTY

Bill Hader Popcorn GIF by Saturday Night Live

That's how I imagine the Stalker 2/Microsoft Flight Sim 2024 bros are going to act like come TGAs.
They're just going to be happy they got their thing and are looking at the GotY warriors from afar.

I bought their last two games day one. Not this one. Not buying the manufactured hype just yet.

Somewhere along the lines, Bioware were making a solid DA game with a dark storyline and proper combat.

Then something happened and we ended up with this abomination.

Were you a fan of the previous entries in the franchise? If so, which has been your favorite so far?

Outside of playing Origins for a few hours, haven't played any of them. The Veilguard will be the first Dragon Age game that I will play and complete.
I enjoyed Origins quite a bit; however, I'm also a pretty big fan of CRPGs in general, especially the older isometric variety.

I had quite a bit of trouble trying to get Dragon Age 2 to run on my PC, the experience of which I think somewhat colored my view of the game as a whole.

As for Inquisition, I couldn't quite figure out why I bounced off it at the time, but I didn't get much further than what felt like the first chapter. It won Game of the Year, so I feel like I need to give it another fair try at some point.

It's nice to hear you're excited for Veilguard, especially since public opinion about it is sometimes divisive on forum discourse. I do like ARPGs, so I'm hoping the reviews are positive! I'm not sold on Day 1 for me, but if the game is solid, I'll eye it for a holiday sale pickup.

I never played Dragon Age 2 at all and while I was interested in Inquisition, The Witcher 3 was six months or so later and I wasn't going to play both so I decided to just wait for The Witcher 3 which ended up being my PS4/XBO game of the generation which also made me a huge fan of CDPR.

As for Veilguard, im expecting mid-80's come Monday since that's when the review embargo lifts. I'm expecting the majority of who I follow on Twitter/YouTube to really like the game which is good because that will increase the chances that I like it since my tastes align with theirs most of the time. I'm into the art style and visuals, the combat/gameplay looks great and seems to have a lot of build diversity as the skill trees are huge and the story/characters seem interesting. Your choices also seem to impact the game, story and characters.

I will be playing as a Rogue with a custom difficulty and custom HUD. Love all the accessibility options in the game as every game should have all this stuff. I get so annoyed when games restrict you from turning off the damage numbers, enemy detection arrows, etc. It's like let me play the game the way I want to.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will also be the first game I play on my new Xbox Series X 2TB Galaxy Edition that I bought last week and since I will be trading in the launch Xbox Series X that I have, I decided to also trade in the PlayStation 5 launch model and buy the PlayStation 5 Pro in two weeks. Super hyped!!! 😂
