Well, if you have a moral code it's worth dying for, talks/insults are the least of your concerns.
Yes, we're oppressed by our tribal and religious morals to stay on course, and the government gives us free healthcare and salaries/homes for the needies. FFS I lived in the US for 2 years between 2002-2004 in Virginia and finished my high school there. One day, among many, I saw people dying on the streets up to 16 in a single day, frozen to death, in Washington DC, which is a tiny 16km square district. When I was feeling ashamed to give one needy only $6 that I had at the moment, a white dude who has masters by the way, he was shocked and asked several times to give it back and just take $1. Another time at Niagra Falls found a black homeless guy and at the time had a juicy wallet and the smallest bank note was $20. He cried and hugged me. Still amazes me until today.
Police here, who are fighting beggars because they get shelter, food, and money, said that one beggar made around 7,000 OMR ($18,200 USD) in one month from begging!
Not everyone in the world dreams of living in the US, and if you don't drink, fornicate, and gamble in Virginia at least you might just die from boredom. Yeah forgot to tell you that cancer is covered by the free healthcare and the treatments here are by far more successful than people spending a fortune to get treated outside the country. Only cosmetics aren't covered and transgendering so might not like it here.
Oh and VAT only came in 2021 for the first time ever, and it's 5% for non-essential goods.
