I'm seeing people in the steam discussions complaining about disappearing reviews after refunding.
Is it possible these reviews were removed through standard Steam moderation policies regarding abusive or offensive language?

One merely has to observe the negative reviews on Steam to see users have been refunding the game, and posting negative reviews without removal.

As someone who's negatively reviewed and refunded games in the past, I can personally say I've never experienced the scenario you're describing.

Reviews from those who refunded the game SHOULD be removed because all they did was buy the game and play it for a few hours so they could write and post a negative review. In other words, they never wanted to play the game. They just wanted to shit on it for some odd unknown reason. Not only that but I love how people post a "review" a few hours into the game. That's hilarious to me. Yeah, it's 50+ hour game but I reviewed it after a few hours. LMFAO!!!

Every time "gamers" come together to try and force a flop by badmouthing and trolling all discussion of the game with negativity.... I'm left in awe that the people have nothing better to do with their time. Regular people just move on...... If the internet wasn't engagement based, they likely would have. Media discussion is just in a very strange place atm.

I think we need to be realistic from the perspective that gamers can be bait and switched on Steam.

I agree holistically speaking, if someone is giving a critical review of a game, they should wait until they beat it. However, I think Steam's current process of simply tagging the refund reviews accordingly is sufficient, as those can serve as legitimate consumer warnings to other buyers, when something is critically wrong with the product.

The point is, Steam is not removing reviews just because people refunded the game.

It's funny how people on here will call everyone racist sexist homophobic etc if you're white (or white adjacent 🤣) but when it comes to the middle east they don't dare say shit because then they'd be the racists & islamophobes 😂

I understand reviews and refunds if the game is broken/unplayable but we've seen it a billion times. People buy the game on Steam, put a few hours in, review the game poorly and then refund it.

Well, if you have a moral code it's worth dying for, talks/insults are the least of your concerns.

They already oppressed by their governments, we don't care

Yes, we're oppressed by our tribal and religious morals to stay on course, and the government gives us free healthcare and salaries/homes for the needies. FFS I lived in the US for 2 years between 2002-2004 in Virginia and finished my high school there. One day, among many, I saw people dying on the streets up to 16 in a single day, frozen to death, in Washington DC, which is a tiny 16km square district. When I was feeling ashamed to give one needy only $6 that I had at the moment, a white dude who has masters by the way, he was shocked and asked several times to give it back and just take $1. Another time at Niagra Falls found a black homeless guy and at the time had a juicy wallet and the smallest bank note was $20. He cried and hugged me. Still amazes me until today.

Police here, who are fighting beggars because they get shelter, food, and money, said that one beggar made around 7,000 OMR ($18,200 USD) in one month from begging!

Not everyone in the world dreams of living in the US, and if you don't drink, fornicate, and gamble in Virginia at least you might just die from boredom. Yeah forgot to tell you that cancer is covered by the free healthcare and the treatments here are by far more successful than people spending a fortune to get treated outside the country. Only cosmetics aren't covered and transgendering so might not like it here.

Oh and VAT only came in 2021 for the first time ever, and it's 5% for non-essential goods.

Imagine typing out all of this unnecessary rant thinking I will care?

Your issues with western culture and America is of no interest to me nor are your opinions on this site. I don't recall attempting to prop up America, so thanks for telling me America is a broken mess? Surely this is brand new information lol.

Your obsession with transgenders should be a study case... Good luck with that kink.

I know you're a laughing stock here by most but sometimes a person replies not necessarily for the person himself but for the readers to clear some stereotypes for uneducated people in that specific matter.

Oh dear it's the fact you think I log into a forum of anonymous people and think to myself... Hmm, "I really do care what these stranger thinks of my words"

Well, I am so glad you cleared up those stereotypes. Job well done kind sir. I'm sure the readers will thank you, somehow!

It might shock you, but many of us here interact in a daily basis since 2020 and some before, and some of us know about each other more than what you think. We tend to care for each other as well, doesn't mean we think the same on every matter but respect our differences.

Maybe you're not used to talking to real people in real life with your sincere opinions.

Anyway my condolences for Concord and their studio.

Why would it shock me? I am very much aware many of you knew each other before this place existed. I've read the testimonies many times lol. But, even so, that's cool and we are all here for gaming...well some of us are. I am also PSN buds with a few on here, thanks to this forum. I'm a fairly nice guy, however I will respond appropriately on this forum when people come at me, sorry I'm petty at times🫡

You made sure to state apparently I'm a laughing stock here. Hence, my current tone of response...I don't care what any of you here think of me or what you all wanna discuss about me in your own free time. I'm not invested in forum life like some of you. So all these petty jabs you keep attempting aren't gonna stick.

And don't worry I do great will "real life interactions".

Concord is a thing of the past. I've moved on. I just love bringing up the game since it's garners such strong emotions for whatever reason lol.
