I'll put my account on that being marketing bots.
If it's not then lol, gaming beyond fucked and I'm out.

@ Bold, I'm sorry friend...
You can just check on SteamDB to see that there's nothing weird about what we're seeing here.
Follower count progression/wishlists indicated a launch in the 100k+ range CCU peak(on the weekend when EU and NA can play at the same time) unless there's widespread technical issues with the game that prevents Day on Day growth.

I don't buy it. 12 times more players than inquisition? For this piece of shit?
12k players is a possibility
15k players, there's an outside chance
But 60k players? I would like to see that.

You comparing them as apples to apples when you can't do that.

Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition did not come to Steam at launch because EA had them on their own PC storefront before they gave up. Both games came on Steam in June of 2020, many years after the games' actual launch.

You can see that on Inqusition's SteamDB page:
Release Date: 4 June 2020 – 14:56:00 UTC

Maybe there are a lot of people who don't think the same way as you about this game?

If that's the case then

I don't know who the fuck this game is made for. If there are genuinely 65000 people that want to play a game with top surgery scars in a character creator and a lecture on how to apologise to non-binary people in a fantasy game then I'll never spend a penny on gaming again.

This will be my breaking point.

Bro this game has to sell at least a million copies to get close to the spent budget. Calm your tits.

Apparantly there's a lot of either diehard DA fans or uninformed players. We'll see. But it won't be a win for DEI by miles. I'd be surprised if it even breaks 200k ccu.

But look at helldivers numbers at launch as an example:
458,208

And this game was on a way smaller budget and cost 33% less then DA. These current numbers should surpass Helldivers or be close at least, but they aren't. It's a clear indication we're safe. :)

Don't forget, DA is a big franchise. Concord and Dustborn weren't. That's a BIG factor for the difference in numbers. You can't compare the 3. DA has a hardcore fanbase. But even they might think its shit.

There still is and never will be a reason to be alarmed.

CCU is 62x Concord's launch day #s.

But I thought PC gamers didn't buy games?
Why don't you compare it to Baldur's Gate 3 instead of this weird nonsense comparison? BioWare is a way bigger name than Larian and they made the previous BGs. They are at the top of the RPG world, backed by the biggest western publisher in the industry.

Below 100k is a low launch, even Metaphor had 85k and it sold only 400k since release.

PC gaming was not as popular back then, at least not on Steam. Just look up peaks from other games from before like 2018.

So this piece of woke shit gets so much attention but good games go unnoticed.

I can't believe people will attack and boycott original games that play great (yes, like forspoken) but support this pos.

For a big budget IP like this it's disastrous honestly.

Is this good?

Depends on the lens you view it through.
Is it a decent Day 1 CCU count considering where Bioware is currently especially after Anthem/Andromeda and the rather poor marketing beginning for the game? Possibly, although TBD for the true peak during the weekend.
Is it a good CCU count for an expensive RPG in a franchise that sold rather well for its time back in the 2010s? Not really.

Failguard needs to hit the same numbers as FF7Remake (7 million) to even remotely be considered a success. There's no way they get there. Failguard is selling WORSE than Starwars: Outlaws, let that sink in.

That's because it didn't launch on Steam. It came out in 2014 and the all-time peak was 4 months ago. It was on Origin.
Also true. But what I wrote still applies to other games. It wouldnt have a much bigger all time peak even If It launched on Steam.
