The Phil groupie squad out in full force defending DD2 just because its a multiplat release lol. These are the same people who 4x zoom and count pixels in PS exclusives and count frame drops any time it drops 2 fps below 30 or 60 they take a screenshot. DD2 is an okay to a good game, it has the same problems it had in the original dragon's dogma, I don't get why a 75 rated game in 2012 suddenly becomes 90 in 2024 when only the graphics and size of open world has improved
Because standards have lowered. Also dragon's dogma was a game that has been extremely hyped over the last decade in forums. So there was lots of excitement. Kinda like DMCV, great game but still not close to DMC3.
I agree that Dragon's Dogma has some good ideas going for it, the exploration and monsters are very good. The combat is also very good although lacks weight, but there is jank galore in the game. The movement is very floaty, the performance is ass, the story is mundane and it takes nearly 15-20 hours for the game to somewhat get interesting. The opening was so bad, fighting that snake medusa was so underwhelming
Not to excuse the post you're replying to, but console players are on a worse position than PC players here, IMO.
On the PC we'll eventually be able to mod the game to get a gazillion credits and fast travel crystals from the first second of gameplay.
You don't agree that charging extra for revives and fast travel is on a whole new level of customer abuse?
No it's an accurate description of how events play out. Negative reviews get front loaded, full of misinformation, turns out it's sensationalism. The MTX are utterly irrelevant. Look below at TTenTranz saying it's extra for fast travel. It's not. This is complete misinformation. Would be like saying it's "extra" to unlock skills in DMC4 because you can buy red orbs. Everyone knows that isn't the case, it's dishonest.
No because it's all IN THE GAME. It's not "extra" for fast travel. 1h into the game you can access the fast travel system. You don't need to pay anything.
