Anyone talented working under the Embracer Group must be looking to jump ship.

They bought all these IPs from Square Enix and they won't do anything with them. Even the 300 millions they paid was too much for what will be left in the end.

The only studio I wish ps had brought from square when they were ditching their western studios was Eidos. Deus ex and the legacy of kain franchises deserved to be revived and remakes and remasters would have been great. Those franchises also have great cross media potential as film or anime. Embracer is just god awful. This they cancel but they have money for that outcast crap no one asked for smh

Honestly Sqaure selling off their Western Branch to anyone but Sony was dumb. It's a shame what has transpired.

God fucking dammit. Deus Ex is one of my favourite franchises and to have it die under Embracer is the worst timeline. I'd trade a thousand Bethesdas and ABKs for the end to the new DE trilogy.

Nobody wanted Eidos or Crystal Dynamics, those two studios have been loss leaders for more than a decade.
It's what led Square-Enix to acquire them in the first place, they had no money left.

There's a reason the agreed price was only 300M.

The IP's they let get away tho. And Square always terrible management of them played a role. But fair enough

To be fair to embracer, they don't seem to be a bad company. The CEO just got carried away by the easy money bubble of tbe covid period where game company investment was like pre-2008 real estate.

Sad, they're clearly doing this stuff based on release windows instead of market viability too. Smh.

Sony should buy this studio to Embracer and/or hire some of the fired people, if not for this studio for Haven (which as I remember is the closer studio they have).

Embracer should just get the fuck out of the industry if they ain't going to do anything with all of this. Not even giving these studios a chance first under the new regime. Scummy as fuck.
