This raises questions about Microsoft's strategy regarding Game Pass releases. Although Hellblade II's performance outside the service is less impressive, it's important to remember that Microsoft's main bet is to offer releases directly on Game Pass, attracting players to its subscription service.

And how many players did this flopysmal sales bomba attract? How many new subscribers? How many subscribers renewed or maintained their subs because of it?

Rather than do the obvious and send them their walking papers today they'll wait another three months to do it, randomly, in August with a few other groups. Thats just the Microsoft Game Studios style.
