Imagine doing a victory dance because of 78k sales in a country that's been ignoring home consoles and transitioning almost exclusively to Nintendo handhelds for a dozen years.

View attachment 5911

It sold 10k more consoles than the PS4 Pro in a country with 125 million people wohoo!
Yeah well 68k and 78k they're both shit numbers for a console release and the only relevant difference is there weren't as many stupid scalpers buying release-day consoles until COVID.

Meanwhile, in the land of actually relevant news, just one week after release the PS5 Pro's price already went down in the UK.

£40 down at Currys

£40 down at EE store

I'm sure all the people who preordered or bought it a week ago on release are totally happy with this. Thankfully these stores are returning the £40 to the people who bought it until a week ago.
Though the ones who preordered it just lost £40 for the privilege of being treated like an early European Pay Pig.

This troll said the pro would sell less than a million before the end of the fiscal year. He's doubling down now, but clearly in for a rude awakening.

Is he from the UK?

If he was he would know the UK literally has a Black Friday Month.

There are countless discounts on almost everything during the month of November.

Not to forget stores do price matching and compete with each other.

Talk about desperation.

You have the Sony CEO who stated that sales are better than PS4 Pro.

They doubted it. They were proven wrong.

The PS5 Pro has shown good sales in 2 regions so far.

Proven wrong again.

Now he has jumped to PS4 Pro sold shit anyway and 40 discounts prove it is not selling.

Could be worse.

You are doing it for free.

The Lengths you are going to. Links to Currys and Argos.

Embarrassing.

Again I ask, are you from the UK?

I'm shilling for what corporation exactly?

And where did I link to Argos? Or are you just making shit up at this point?

The one NOT Sony.

You tell me.

Did you even open the links before posting them here?

The Currys link you posted has the Price at 699.

Open the EE link you posted, read what it says above the 659.99?

BLACK FRIDAY SALE! USUALLY £695

Clown.

You tell me.

Oh so I'm shilling for something that you don't know who or what is.

All you know is I must be shilling because I'm not blindly following the corporate dick sucking contest performed by the cheerleading drones as self-coping mental gymnastics to accept the PS5 Pro's newly unsubsidized price, as well as hubris fueled Sony's push for people to stop owning games and monopolize their games' distribution market.

Gotcha.

I must really be anti-Sony, I mean just look at all this hate against Sony.

I guess I'm the worst hater ever at hating Playstation, by playing no less than 240 Playstation games (not counting with PS2) all the way back to the PS Vita, 34 of which I played on the PS5.
And then I also fail at hating Playstation by fucking cheering for one of their 1st party games as well.

Here's hoping the game sells 10x as much through its lifetime and brings many similar quality sequels.

The game was awesome and I'm voting for it to get GOTY at TGA.

But I guess by your standards, refusing to suck corporate dick like you do by disagreeing with Sony's current strategy at pricing and treating non-US customers like Pay Pigs means I must be a hater who shills for something you don't know.

?

Slitterhead released on November 8.
Astro Bot released on September 6.
Metaphor released on October 11.
my point was not compare the launch sales wth eachother. I just saw a sale thread from Famitsu (I think It was from last week sales) and It shown Slitterhead on 4,6k while two of the other games were nowehere to be found on list. I was just surprised that these two dropped from sales charts so quickly.
Dont mind me though, I slept like 2 hours tonight, so my cognitive abilities are on the lower side today lol that's why I was asking. I just couldnt really believe what I was looking at.

Did astro and metaphor really drop from Japan charts so fast?

Those are launch week Slitterhead sales.
2nd will probably have a 80% drop… so below 1k and out of TOP30.

Metaphor PS5 is in the list btw…

28./17. [PS5] Metaphor: ReFantazio # <RPG> (Atlus) {2024.10.11} (¥8.980) - 1.546 / 105.102 <80-100%> (-47%)

Astro indeed get out of TOP30 few weeks after release but it sales were way better than Slitterhead that will get out of TOP30 already in the 2nd week.

BTW DQIIII are sold out in Japan (both version Switch and PS5) with new shipment only expected to December.

Square-Enix not having the correct amount of physical copies shipped to retailers to meet demands is a classic.
Unfortunate that the First Week numbers we'll get next week won't be the "true" number that it could've been.

PlayStation 5 games rarely stay in the top 30 physical sales chart for more than 2- 3 weeks. Astro stuck around for a few weeks but that's the best you can expect.

Yes, but it released 2 months earlier.
Shouldnt astrobot sell more than 4k copies in Japan two months after It released. Especially so near the holiday season?
