The Saudi Arabian Public Authority for Media has taken to Twitter to announce that Final Fantasy 16 will not be released in Saudi Arabia.

The Saudi Arabian Public Authority for Media has taken to Twitter to announce that Final Fantasy 16 will not be released in Saudi Arabia.

The tweet reads, “For fans of the #FinalFantasyXIV game, we would like to clarify that it has not been released in the Kingdom, due to the publisher’s unwillingness to make the necessary modifications.” Presumably, this means that the game is also unlikely to release in the United Arab Emirates.

Over the years, Saudi Arabia has banned a wide range for a variety of different reasons. These reasons include; violence, gambling, nudity, sexual themes, use of drugs and alcohol, and more. Popular games banned in Saudi Arabia include the God of War series, the Grand Theft Auto Series, The Last of Us Part II, and more.

We talk recently. Sexual content and violence isn't banned here anymore. What's banned is homosexuality and according to the tweet I provided. It was banned for homosexuality.
Anyway, banning in Saudi doesn't mean it is not sold. It just mean that it won't be rated and import copies of media are still sold. Heck, saudi and UAE people played broken street date GOW3 before it was released in USA in 2010.
