Same thing they did with Red X13. They needed to force him into the party unlike the O.G where he was entirely optional.
This does not give me hopes of a potential big remake of VI as that game had many optional characters.
Red didnt join unless optional in FF7 original? I always seen him in the party, my or friends play through
Sorry I typed that wrong Red wasn't optional just Vincent and Yuffie.
FF6 has to just be a pure remake I think. And probably less graphically impressive as FF7R
Probably saving for a DLC chapter
They are going to do the same to Vincent as Red XIII was in the Remake part 1. He'll be an assist character but not directly controllable.
