Hypothetically, if 100% of players are on one platform, 100% of players get a better product.Hypothetically if 25% of players are on PlayStation, 25% on Nintendo, etc, that would be the same number of people as if they were all on one platforms.

Steamdb numbers are unbeliavable to me.
Elden Ring - top Pluyaers 950k - ownership 11-14mil
Concord - top 700players - ownership 20-25k
Lego Horizon - top 600 players - ownership 1.2 - 4.4k
Like what are these fucking estimates.
You know they are taking TOP players or something and multiplying it because they do not have api data on users accounts since by default it is opt out of sharing this info.

That's how math works. I can do flips in circles around you if you want, but you have to know how to disseminate the information, so you'd have little no no idea it was indeed, happening. That is how mental gymnastics works?

But his original argument was PC vs Console not PC vs PlayStation. So, he has to accept that the total is 71% Console > 29% PC.That is how bullshit narratives are created on Twitter.
Stay on facts without misleading shit please.
And I will tell you why…
1) You don’t know the split between PS5 and PS4 and it can be that PS5 is over 30% making your assumption dumb (I will back to this point later).
2) You assume people that brought the PS4 version brought it to play on PS4… Elden Ring PS4 could be played in PS5 and you could even download the PS5 version free it does t matter if you have the PS4 physical or digital)… plus the PS4 version on PS5 is how the game play best.
3) You forget the most essential part… from these 41%… 9% where PS4 remember I told you I should go back to item 1.
The actual split was:
PS5: 32%
Xbox: 30%
PC: 29%
PS4: 9%
PS is king no matter the mental gymnastics.
Mental gymnastics to try to create a narrative that PC was on topBut his original argument was PC vs Console not PC vs PlayStation. So, he has to accept that the total is 71% Console > 29% PC.
I am still confused how did he conclude that Elden Ring sold the most on PC?
It's a bubble caused by epidemic period PC hardware sales. Everybody stupidly rushed to PC - including those who have their own competing platform and should never have done so.crazy really. PC - steam seems like main platform for RE games and monster hunter. I would've guessed they sell most of their games on steam.
interesting

Physical Vs digital. Both reports look to be one side of the coinHow does that work with something like this?
