Are you comparing the economic outcomes of a tiny island under decades of economic blockade after decades of colonization with the US?

Wtf does that have to do with my point? I'm sure alot of us here are college educated and know what "we've heard" of the back story of many of these countries and the effects of colonization by England, America, Spain, etc. My point still stands corruption, lies and paying ppl off are in every govt and facet of politics. This is far from just a capitalist/American problem.

Thinking Castro had several "mansions", lived the life of an American playboy and billionaire ala Hollywood movies, with Yatchs etc has been drinking way too much of the propaganda koolaid. So much so, that to not realize how stupid it's and to endorse such horseshit by regurgitating it, literally disqualifies the person from being considered someone worthy of having a conversation on any related topic. The depth of knowledge and intellectual capacity simply being extremely low, of a typical, lowly uneducated man. Unless, dishonesty, and agenda is at play, say those engaged in the dissemination of such garbage for propaganda purposes which I don't think is the case here.

Caricature projection is a helluva drug.
No, he had nothing, he was living in squalor (I was being hyperbolic of course initially) And pinochet was a great leader smfh. This is why political talk doesn't go well, ppl will believe everything on both sides of the spectrum. Preach on brother with your psuedo wealth of knowledge on the subject 👍. BTW condescending responses will get you violated but I'll keep it civil ❤️ I will leave it at that.

You can find a picture of his house if you so wish, including the inside - very often photographed and televised after he left office and became ill. At least Google in that regard will help you - plenty of pics. If that mansion wows you, let me know.

Pinochet and Castro were not the same. The obvious problem here is an overdose in false equivalencies to avoid confrontation. I get the motive for peace, and I appreciate it. I'm just pointing out the issue. And I'm encouraging self-discovery, it's the best pill, by far, as opposed to feeding on a platter. Intellectual curiosity is king.
Oh I've seen pics of alot of things, thnks for directing me :) This isnt worth spending too much energy on. Back to gaming, again he was a poor man and didnt own any yacht or mansion anywhere.

And who doesnt know about the corruption and propaganda coming out the white house? 😂Smfh.

I'm off the topic.

Proportionally not even close to what you imagine for your typical head of state, rotating or permanent (10+ yrs), and one of the bottom ones relatively speaking. It's def not a topic of absolutes, but neither of false equivalencies.
You think I'm referring to where he lived and what ppl saw? Lol this is where naivety comes into play. Everything isn't always what it seems. What you see isn't always the only thing there. Of course he isn't and wasnt galavanting his prized possessions to the ppl lol tht would make him a visible hypocrite. Anyway his x private security guard had alot to say about what Castro was really doing and the things he owned. A person tht was around him (unlike we were) over 17 years.

Truthfully you nor I were around him, I can only go by what someone close to him stated.

Back to my point and it will still stand, corruption and bribery are found in all types of govt and it's asanine to think it's just an American, corporate made thing.

With tht I gracefully bow out and will no longer comment on the benevolent Fidel 😊

The minimum definition of socialism is that workers make decisions about the workplace democratically. This compared with capitalism where individual sociopaths make decisions based on the maximization of profit. There's plenty of room for corruption in socialism, but capitalism is corrupt in theory, worse in practice.

That I will not disagree with.
