Microsoft is still very much in the console war bullshit. They just adopt the fake “good guy” act and attack Sony in a passive aggressive way. They know they can’t attack Sony head on like they used to do in the PS3 gen because Sony completely smokes them nowadays in console sales and critical acclaim for their games.
Phil and Aaron Greenberg let the fanboys and “Ambassadors” on Twitter/YouTube do the dirty work for them while Phil pretends to be a good guy. They follow all the worst Xbox console warriors on Twitter too which is funny. Sony couldn’t give two shits about Microsoft ever since they bounced back with the PS4, and it’s like Phil and MS management know this and that’s why they had to adapt the “good guy Phil” fake approach to win brownie points.

Not sure about the RROD comment… he seems to think if it was not that issue Somy had no chance in PS3 gen that is false but he console wars is something you see even today in Xbox management where Uncle Phil spread it all time.
When you suck you want to avoid direct comparisons to the competition, that's why Phil Spencer is all anti-console wars on the surface but as soon as he thinks he is on a dominant position he starts to take digs at PlayStation.
