Nobody leaves if they are happy and paid competitively. Sony, the one and only.

Why aren’t the others leaving too then?

There’s 450 employees at Insomniac Games with several creative directors.

Typically let’s shit on Sony post. It’s getting tedious.

I don’t, maybe they didn’t get the offer??

What’s tedious is shilling while shit is burning all around you.

Same.

From what I saw from the leaks, I didn't like the direction Wolverine was going...with Logan obviously not healing like usual and then sections playing as ugly Jean Grey.

Especially with the fallout from Concord and some other high profile games. I think it's time for gaming companies to be far more pragmatic and customer focused.

Have they said there is no healing factor? Maybe its a story thing? Maybe for gameplay difficulty reasons? A bit of healing would be good, staying still and slowly healing etc. But accurate to character would make it too easy lol. Literally Wolverine cant be killed unless by crazy means.

My only issues are doing another Mary Jane stealth like gameplay portions. And with ugly characters that people are gonna complain about lol.
Its not needed. Im sure people can implement the story in another way. Plenty of games just have 1 playable character. We dont need to “mix it up” with super stealth moments or psychic powers.

Other than that, Insomniac normally does a good job and Spiderman Combat was just as good if not better than Arkham Knights. So I hope the semi linear level design works well. People say they are tired of open world, so here we go, whats the excuses now.
It looks violent, stabbing claws into people etc, so hopefully it is comic book violent to some extent.

To me potential wise:
Combat: I trust Insomniac, Spiderman combat is pretty good. Smooth, responsive and better than any other Spiderman game.
Story: Done by Richard Pearsey, Spec Ops the line etc. Should be decent.
Level Design: Not open world, looking forward to something different so thats good.
No MP: So Sp fans wont complain

What could go wrong?
Side character portions - My biggest concern
People complaining about DEI
Then you’ll have nitpicking/ PS Tax like: Pacing, combat, story, not enough variety, too long, too short etc. All of which games have suffered from before and scored 9+/10

I remember growing up and going to the library and there was a comic section and there was all these weird cross over comics, some of them crazy violent batman or Wolverine ones. Late 80’s, early 90’s. I know movies and game won’t represent those comics totally but I do hope one day. Would love to play an accurate Spawn or Punisher comic story from that era.

When it comes to the fallout with Concord/DEI etc. I hope its just quick, because Im tired of reading about it from either side.
DEI discussions, general PS FUD, Gaas arguments are getting so old over all the internet.
DEI/Woke a global collective agenda, even in Japan there was an influx of US politicians pushing for this stuff. US ambassador Rahm Emmanuel was one of them.
I hope vote with your wallet works, but if it would, the world would be a different place when it comes to certain things. I respect the pushback but rather hear about it in real life news protests rather then 30% of online gaming discussions being about that. But I understand its a type of pushback and needed I guess.
People also cant give honest judgement and reviews on certain aspects of a game if is goes against their political beliefs.
Just sad to see what gaming, comic, movies discussions have become.

Mike Daly is a good guy and he will do a good job. I'll take Rift Apart over Miles Morales any-day... So let's give Mike his fair chance, he's worked on a lot of great games

You guys will jump at any opportunity to doom. The new guy has directed multiple game at insomniac.

It’s not doom according to them.

It is us shilling for Sony.

I mean shit on Sony when they deserve it. This here is getting to ridiculous proportions.

Who are those? We not sure what happened.
Could be, that didn't hit their multiple targets.
Game isn't coming anytime soon, so, it is a good move.
Maybe Horton got great offer from m$.

That’s probably what it is.

Sony does it all the time. The Marathon director was poached from Riot Games. Former head of Valorant.

At the end of the day Sony is a business. They are only in it for the money.

It’s the same for the developers. There’s no loyalty here.

Wasn't R&C being made by the North Carolina team? And aren't they actively making the sequel right now? I wonder if thats dead...

Why would it be dead? It's still like 5 years away. He was one of two leads for Rift Apart

Well lets see, the last one didn't recoup its budget as per the Insomniac leaks and the director just got a new job. Game seems like an easy cut to me if Sony is looking to control costs.

Both the Creative Director and Game Director have been swapped.
But recall that both the Art Director and one of the co-Narrative Director also left not too long ago.
Both poached by CDProjektRed Boston(they're in charge of the CP2077 sequel).

An associate narrative director for Marvel's Wolverine recently announced that she will be departing Insomniac Games for a new role at Witcher developer CD Projekt Red. A few months prior to Kenney's departure, the art director for Wolverine, Aaron Habibipour, also exited Insomniac to work for CD Projekt Red.

At first I thought nothing of it, especially for Art directors since their work can be "done" 2 years before the game launch.
Writing is done/most of the Art Direction has been set, etc...
But now that both Game/Creactive Director have also been swapped and that makes quite a few top lead positions on the Wolverine project that are gone 2~ years from release(leaked internal release date goal).

I wouldn't say it's definitely something but it's now at the point that where it is looking at more than your usual industry shuffling, at least from an outsider's perspective.

They dont know the meaning of shilling.

People always turning up for negative PS news to make it about the doom of the company… like xbox ambassadors do. Way more suspicious of shillery

Ratchet costed 75 million no? I find it hard to believe it failed to recoup it's budget but stranger things have happened. Either way I doubt they will cancel a Ratchet game lol.
