This is kinda cool and it makes me happy to know that pronouns next to people's names is spreading into general pop culture. It's a really useful tool for knowing how to refer to people.

Elon and Grummz being cringe as usual
I can use my eyes to see if someone is male of female and I will adress them accordingly. I refuse to adress anyone by whatever brainfart they have at that moment.

I identify as.... Fine and all the power to you! But don't expect me to play pretend with you.
Since it's not your place to demand such interaction from me. :)

Will this offend a person? Possibly. Is that my problem or something I should change? HELL NO.

People who use the "I identify as" clearly don't yet know their own identity. There are professionals to help them with this uncertainty. Identifying as anything is just hurtful to themselves and plain asinine.

This skit sums up the whole Play Pretend scenario spot on.

all i will say is that if you willfully and knowingly refer to someone by something they don't want you are being rude at best and should not be surprised if they react in a negative manner

How about other people feelings and convictions?
Or others have to care for you while you don't give a shit?
Some people just aren't that cruel to feed your delusions. More than anything, that is kindness and should be respected.

That's your interpretation and not correct at all. ;)
Oh and they can want the world. It's nowhere for me a duty to provide. If I see a woman and say "Excuse me miss" and they pull the gender thing, it's on them. I can't smell genders and im not going to ask how someone wants to be adressed when any sane person can look at them like we did years ago and say it's a man or woman.

If I see a man, ill adress him as such.
If I see a woman, ill adress her as such.

Without thinking about possibly hurting them.

When I see a trans person or im not certian, ill of course tread lightly. Im not for purposefully hurting anyone's feelings.
But when I see a blue haired person with a beard and all colors of the rainbow and stuff, I call them sir or mister. I can't see in anyone's brain and I don't want to. If they are so offended by being misgendered, they should wear a fucking t-shirt stating their pronouns. That way you'll avoid confusion and hurt feelings.

You are an example which is clear and was I disrespectful to your picture? No I wasn't. I called you brave for showing us who you are. You are proud. Not confused and demanding acceptance for that confusion.

BIG difference. :)

No its not meant as kindness, its meant as a "Stop being a pussy and own up to yourself". But yes its more cruel to play along in the long run.

"I identify as a cat" Cats don't talk and shit in a litterbox. Off you go.
"I am genderfluid" No you're not. You just can't choose which version of yourself you want to be.

Miss me with that existential crisis nonsense.
Being offended is a simple mindset thing. Im not the reason for people being offended.

The way I see it it's like this:

I identify as: Clearly shows confusion. It doesn't state "I am" which in some cases can still sound stupid, but at least it shows confidence.

Confusion shouldn't be accepted or celebrated in this case. Why? Not because I hate people who are confused, its just no-one should be confused about themselves.

And saying it's ok to have a made up gender or multiple only feed to that confusion. People will think it's ok and continue to be (consciencely or subconsciencely) confused for years or even they're whole lives. It's not worth it.

Pandering this mindset only makes it worse because since they don't know who they are or what's their place in this world, how do they know how they want to be treated? Look at the situation we are in now: Whole cults of people demanding acceptance and calling as everything for not giving in to their demands...

This should have been grabbed by the scruff of the neck when it started. Pandering got us here. And they now think it's normal to have non existent genders and stuff and WE are the crazy ones? Nah, it's literally a mind virus which in the 90's or 2000's or earlier didnt exist because neither did social media and the snowflakes inhabiting it. They would send you to a psychologist. Not a goddamn Facebook group....

We gamers are now bigots, homophobes, racists and any other sticker they can find. But are we the bad guys or actually the stable ones with a damn spine?

All the while they demand acceptance which is what got us in Gamergate 2.0 in the first place. By a bunch of entitled, confused and angry people who alienate everyone that thinks otherwise and call themselve Inclusivity Counsellors. How confused and delusional do you have to be to become that level of a hypocrite?

Oh sweet summer child...........

It's a dangerous trend imo.
And THAT's the reason I don't play along.

There are numerous ways inclusion can be utilised. But not by tacking it on and shoehorning it in where it has no place whatsoever. Like Dragon Age.
It was fine before DEI "counselling" and trash after. Concord was a supersonic passenger jet. This Concord didn't even leave the ground because the vast majority of gamers rejected it. Dustborn..... Yeah..... Unkown 9 lives up to its name too. No-one knows it exists and the 9 is probably its CCU right now.

ALL games which failed because of forced DEI rammed in by a bunch of militant snowflakes.....
Our hobby, which has been fine for decades is now condemned by a group of blue haired activists and self entitled terrorists spreading their propaganda masquerading as diversity counsellors, victims, saints and what not all for inclusivity?

Which side actually harassed families of content creators? Yes, the so called DEI-hards. Alyssa Mercante and Chris Kindred both went and meddled with someone's private life trying to get them fired, deplatformed or defamed.

How's that for inclusivity and diversity?

We don't want to fight, but we will defend.

But again, that's my view on it.

I'll probably get a mountain of shit over me for this but at least im honest.
