There are no subtitles for background NPCs, you miss out on half the dialogue and they didn't even have lip sync at launch. It was very half assed for the way a lot of people would prefer to play it

Yeah I played it in English despite it sounds more Epic in Japanese. Mostly because I just can't read English fast enough to keep up and also takes away the immersion of watch their faces. Maybe as a movie it would be good but I just can't play, read at the same time.

But seriously, the English voice overs are pretty damn good.

Jin's Japanese voice over is fucking epic, but I managed with the English one.
