I've played Ghost of Tsushima Director's Cut from PS+ Extra, the base game and DLC back to back and have the platinum trophy.
Absolutely masterful game and a breath of fresh air for open world games. Visuals, audio, gameplay, story, characters all very well made. The fact that the UI disappears and you can use visual cues to guide you towards the points of interest was great. The combat always felt badass. The only weak points I would say was the enemy AI was kinda dumb, but that was minor. For me, Jin Sakai's story arc was over after the game, so I understand why they want to do a spinoff.
I think Ghost of Yutei has a chance to improve on all aspects of the first game while offering a new origin story with a new setting. Sucker Punch haven't missed yet, and their games keep improving. I don't want to needlessly overhype it, but I'm definitely looking forward to it. It will look sublime on PS5 Pro.
As a side note, I think they will beef up Legends multiplayer mode and turn it into a legit GaaS, like Helldivers 2. Coop PvE games are very approachable and popular. I spent quite a lot of time playing the first iteration so I'm also looking forward to that as well.
