Why do you assume everything needs to be a 1:1 of the game? Dialect can be added for context. In the games the less dialect worked since you took control over the characters and even so there was plenty of cutscenes still exploring the characters and their differences. Sorry I simply do no not support acting like the Game started at the reboot. If you and others only started caring about the franchise then, thats fine, but that's not God of War.

Dialect can be added? Do you mean dialogue? With whom? He barely talks to anyone throughout the games. Other than Athena and Zeus there are barely any repeat characters in the franchise.

I started God of War with the first game and have played all of them except for the 2nd PSP game and Ascension. Beating all of the ones I played except the 1st PSP game.

It doesn't make for captivating tv and you'd have to write an entire original story for the greek saga around the events of the first games. The Castlevania games which have received animated series took that approach with mixed results. And again that works more in an animated version, but even Castlevania had multiple characters to work with.

Oh look, someone that doesn't understand that story can be told from several perspectives and that existing implied details can be further expanded by actual dialogue or actions from the characters. You have lore from before the greek saga, from several games during the greek saga, you even have the lore from Egypt which can and probably will be expanded.

There are several seasons of content that can be told chronologically or not. And I will disagree with @Danja , the greek saga can easily be turned into at least 2 seasons of 10 episodes each. The egyptian portion would need to be severely expanded, but can cover at least 1 season, and then you have all of the norse stuff which can take 3 or 4 easily if they want to, especially if they expand on his backstory with Faye

But hey, lets just have the greek saga removed because reasons, it makes complete sense because if it's not explicitly written or said in a cutscene it never happened. Simpleton.

Yes the trilogy can be done in 10 episodes lol. Strip away the game play from the trilogy and alot of the fat is gone leaving a very tunnel vision story / journey for Kratos. God of War 1 alone was like 7 hours long and God of War was around 8 - 9 hours... The OG games aren't as big as the newer ones. God of War 3 would require a little more episodes and time since that's a more delicate story arc.

I just think sideling his origin story that leads him to the reboot would be a huge mistake and a slap in the face to the legacy and the fans.

Something like GOW 1, 2 and 3 suits a trilogy of movies. Or yes better, 2-3 episodes each. But it can easily be 4-5 episodes or more, depending on how TV series can make 1 boss fight and the lead up/story an episode or 2. With sometimes the bosses back story.
Or how one of the puzzles, some lore and action sequence could end up being an episode. TV is just different I guess.
Theres also the PSP games, there story was decent enough.

GOW 1 could probably be done in 3-4 episodes to make it cool. 2 and 3 together probably a 8-10.
Is this series meant to be set Greece or Nordic?

Beware someone who says something can be done "easily" but doesn't say how.

Purposefully leaves off Nocturne.
